Institutions/Foundations

Home : About Greycourt : Our Clients : Institutions

There are a number of tools and processes which we employ in a way that differentiate our service from many alternatives currently available to endowments/foundations:

First, we reverse the usual consulting pattern where the senior member of a firm develops policy and much less experienced personnel work directly with you, the client.  Greycourt’s advisors share an experience unparalled in the profession, and we put one or two of our most senior people in the room with your investment committee when it makes decisions.  Their experience goes far beyond giving advice.  In most cases they have held senior leadership positions in large nonprofits with responsibility for receiving and acting on investment advice.

Second, we work with sophisticated custodians who have the ability to track, account for and report on numerous individual entities within a client group.  This might include separate restricted, named or donor-advised funds. This allows us to give somewhat smaller funds access to excellent managers and to reduce the administrative burden on you.

Finally, because our advisors are directly involved in the manager research process, they will have a much better feel for the fit between your organization and a particular manager, a feel that is hard to develop from "canned" research. This, together with our strict independence – we sell no products of any kind – give you the highest confidence in our manager recommendations.
