Prior to founding Greycourt Greg served for many years as president of a family office for a branch of the Mellon family and President of the Laurel Foundation. Greg is the author of Creative Capital: Managing Private Wealth in a Complex World, a step-by-step guide to the management of significant taxable assets. He is also the author of a series of white papers on a variety of investment topics of interest to substantial private investors and endowed institutions. Greg has long experience advising ultra-wealthy families on broad wealth management issues, including portfolio design, implementation of best investment practices, design and oversight of family offices and family investment partnerships, philanthropy, family dynamics, estate, tax and insurance planning, and issues associated with closely held businesses. Greg also has extensive experience working with foundations and endowments, both as an in-house executive and an outside advisor.
Greg is currently chair of the Board of Directors of The Pittsburgh Foundation, America's third oldest community foundation. He is a past Chair of the Board of Visitors and Governors of St. John’s College (Annapolis and Santa Fe) and is a past Chair and a founding Director of The Investment Fund for Foundations, a non-profit firm that provides investment management services to nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on several boards and investment committees, including Carnegie Mellon University, The Pittsburgh Foundation, St. John’s College, and the Winchester Thurston School. Greg holds a BA degree from Dartmouth College, a JD degree from Harvard Law School and is a graduate of The Endowment Institute at Harvard Business School. He holds an honorary BA degree from St. John’s College.

Gregory R. Friedman, President, Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director & member of the Management Committee (Portland)
Greg is President and Chief Investment Officer and
heads Greycourt's Pacific Northwest office. Prior to joining Greycourt he was a Principal at Windermere Investment Associates, where he advised ultra-high-net-worth families
regarding the construction of tax-efficient portfolios, the development of complex multi-generational investment policies, the evaluation and selection of traditional and alternative
investment managers and ongoing tactical implementation of client portfolios. Greg has developed tax and estate planning capabilities for incorporation into after-tax asset allocation
software, and has developed a dynamic multi-factor model for forecasting long-term asset class return assumptions. Prior to working with Windermere, Greg was Director of Investment
Strategy at Mellon Private Capital Management, where he managed $3 billion in client assets. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Mark J. Laskow, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director & member of the Management Committee (Pittsburgh)
Mark is a Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the
company. Prior to joining Greycourt he was Vice President and a Director of The Hillman Company, where he managed investments in energy and international private equity and was
involved in many aspects of the private equity program. Mark has long experience in a variety of wealth management issues affecting ultra-wealthy families, including family office
management, family dynamics, tax and estate planning, issues associated with closely held and public companies, and the design and execution of private equity strategies via direct
investments and investment partnerships. Mark is President of the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, Chair of the Shadyside Hospital Foundation and Vice Chair of the University of Pittsburgh
Medical Center. He is a graduate of The Hill School, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

David R. Lovejoy, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director & member of the Management Committee (Pittsburgh)
Prior to joining Greycourt, David was Vice Chairman at Mellon Bank Corporation, where he was responsible for Corporate Development and Strategy. While a Member of the Office of the Chairman at Mellon, David focused on all issues relating to the corporation’s strategic direction, development and growth. He was accountable for determining and executing the organizations M&A strategy and the performance of a wide range of the corporation’s businesses. Prior to joining Mellon, David was the Vice Chairman of Security Pacific Corporation. He is a Director of First Internet Bank of Indiana, has served as a Director of the Los Angeles Branch of the 12th District Federal Reserve Bank, and was a Director of Phelps Dodge Corporation. David is also a past Chairman of the Board of Family House. He has extensive domestic and international corporate leadership experience in financial services and a proven record in corporate development and strategy, corporate restructuring and starting companies. David holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California.

Jim Foster, Managing Director (Pittsburgh)
Prior to
joining Greycourt, Jim was an Executive Vice President and Head of Distribution for Schroder Investment Management North America in New York. Before that, he was a Senior Vice
President with Mellon Financial Corporation working across institutional investment management and consulting. He developed and led Mellon’s Integrated Financial Solutions
efforts, advising clients on asset-liability matters, asset allocation, manager structure and selection (including a research function to evaluate managers across all asset
classes), performance analysis, and specific fiduciary and investment issues associated with concentrated securities positions. He also helped develop simulation models based on
clear investor preferences and regulatory constraints for dynamic decision making. Prior to joining Mellon, Jim was a Vice President with J.P. Morgan where he helped establish the
mortgage-backed securities department and traded and made markets in mortgage-backed securities. He also started and managed the analytics group that evaluated complex mortgage
and mortgage-derivative securities. While at Morgan, he worked in Global Derivatives in the Equity Derivatives Group and was responsible for private structures created primarily for U.S.
pension accounts and investment managers. Jim also taught fixed-income securities markets, valuation, and portfolio management techniques for several years as an Adjunct Assistant
Professor of Finance in the Stern School of Business at New York University. Jim is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Carnegie-Mellon University.

Eric C. Haskel, Managing Director (Portland)
Eric joined Greycourt as a Director in 2007 and was promoted to Managing Director in 2010. He is responsible for manager research, investment analysis and client relations. Eric brings to Greycourt significant experience in family office operations and asset management. Most recently Eric was a portfolio manager with Avalon Capital Group, a large family office in California, where he oversaw the firm's alternative assets, notably its real estate and private equity investments. In addition, Eric was jointly responsible for developing and implementing the family's investment policy and asset allocation model, and served on a number of governing boards and advisory committees on the family's behalf. Prior to that, Eric was the director of financial planning for Newland Capital Advisors, a national CalPERS real estate advisor, where he was responsible for the firm's corporate planning and investor reporting. Prior to Newland, Eric was a financial analyst in the airline and aerospace industry. Eric holds a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Arizona State University and a M.B.A. from the University of San Diego, California. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Pension & Real Estate Association, and is involved in a number of family office organizations around the country.

Roy W. Nichol, CFA, Managing Director (Houston)
Roy oversees Greycourt’s Southwest office in Houston.
Formerly a Managing Director in The Private Bank of JPMorgan Chase where he worked with ultra affluent individuals and private foundations, Roy was named by Worth magazine in 2002
as one of the top financial advisers in the US. He has extensive experience in providing clients strategic advice on overall investment direction, risk mitigation and insuring asset
allocations are consistent with tax-and-estate-planning considerations. Community activities include that of past board chairman of Holocaust Museum Houston , and participation on
the advisory boards of The Memorial Hermann Foundation, The Junior League of Houston, and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Roy is a Chartered
Financial Analyst charter holder and is a member of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts. He holds a BA in Economics from Baylor University.

Margaret M. Towle, CPWA® , Ph.D., Managing Director (Minnesota)
Dr. Towle is a managing director at Greycourt. As such, she advises large families and institutional clients on asset allocation and investment strategy. She was formerly the chief investment officer of Northern Trust Global Advisors, where she held responsibility overseeing approximately $28 billion across all asset classes. Dr. Towle has over twenty-five years experience in the investment management business, including positions as CEO of a mutual fund company, CIO at a global asset management firm, and Managing Partner at a well-known hedge fund. She started her career at Russell Investments.
Dr. Towle received the Certified Private Wealth Advisor SM designation and earned a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Washington-Seattle. She was nominated as recognized as “Top 50 Women in Wealth Management”. She serves as Chair to the "Journal of Investment Consulting" Editorial Board and is an angel investor in 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Christopher Fineburg, CFA, Director (Pittsburgh)
Prior to joining Greycourt in 2007, Chris was a Principal at Calibrated Asset Management (CAM), researching and developing market neutral and equity arbitrage strategies, along with tax-efficient overlay models. Before CAM, he was employed by Delaware Investments, most recently as Assistant Vice President with responsibility for institutional clients in the Northeast and Midwest. Chris began his career working for a family office as an analyst on the acquisition team targeting distressed mortgage companies and underlying loan portfolios. Chris is a CFA Charterholder and member of the Pittsburgh Society of Financial Analysts. He holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Investment Management from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business, and a BS in Finance from the Florida State University.

Matthew Litwin, Director (Portland)
Matt joined Greycourt’s Portland office in June of 2010 as a Director. He is responsible for researching hedge, private equity and real asset managers. Matt was previously on the buyside, having worked at Andor Capital Management as an analyst and, more recently, at Viking Global Investors as an analyst and sector portfolio manager. Early in his career, he spent several years at Goldman Sachs as an equity research analyst covering retail companies. He is a graduate of Yale University with a degree in geology and geophysics.

Thomas R. Moore, Director (Pittsburgh)
Tom is a Director in the Pittsburgh office. Prior to joining Greycourt in 2008, Tom managed a specialized practice in Morgan Stanley’s Pittsburgh office where he advised individuals, family offices and charitable organizations. At Morgan, Tom assisted clients with the development of investment policy statements, asset allocation, and manager selection. Before that, Tom was a Senior Vice President at PNC Advisors. He served in various positions in trust and private banking during his 21 years there. Tom helped to develop PNC’s first integrated private banking office, The PNC Financial Service Center, which opened in the fall of 1987. Prior to joining PNC he held positions as a fund raiser at Carnegie Mellon University and as a staff attorney at the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. Tom is an attorney with a background in trust, estate, and charitable planning. He has served on the adjunct faculty of the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University as well as a variety of boards including Kenyon College, The Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, Trinity Cathedral of Pittsburgh, Gateway to the Arts, The Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Executive Board, The Heinz School Alumni Executive Board, The Pittsburgh Recovery Center, Calliope (The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society) and the Circles Board of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Gretchen Shoup, Chief Operating Officer (Pittsburgh)
Gretchen joined Greycourt in 2005. As COO, she is responsible for overseeing Greycourt's daily operational activities such as client service, performance reporting, office administration and human resources. Prior to joining Greycourt, Gretchen was an Assistant Vice President at Federated Investors and has been in the financial services industry since 1991. She has a BS in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Lisa Thomas, SPHR, Director of Administration (Pittsburgh)
Lisa joined Greycourt in 2000. As Director of Administration, she is responsible for human resources, payroll, regulatory compliance and overseeing the daily office administration functions, including IT. Prior to Greycourt, Lisa was a Trust Officer with Mellon Bank and has held various other positions in banking and financial services since 1983. Lisa is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and has completed 70+ credits towards a BS degree at Point Park University.

Elizabeth Jones, Client Service Manager (Pittsburgh)
Liz joined Greycourt in 2002. As Client Service Manager, she is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Client Service Group. Liz has an extensive background in financial services operations including custody and account structure. Prior to joining Greycourt, Liz was the Director of Operations for Allegheny Financial Group and has held various other positions in financial services since 1986. Liz has a BA degree in Management, concentration in Finance from Seton Hill University.

Jamie Linhart, Performance Reporting Manager (Pittsburgh)
Jamie joined Greycourt in 2003. As Performance Reporting Manger, he is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Performance Reporting Group, which includes the preparation of client reporting. Jamie has vast experience with performance analytics and daily operations. Prior to joining Greycourt, Jamie was a Manager in the Fund Treasury Department of Federated Investors and had held various positions in the firm since 1993. Jamie has a BS degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University.
